Broadband World Forum 2011 Recap

Speaking of trade show season, before it gets too far away, I wanted to say a little more about this year’s Broadband World Forum. It was held in Paris back at the end of September. Attendance was its best ever, but this is the last year for Paris, as the event moves to Amsterdam in 2012.

So what did we see at BBWF this year? A number of cable operators, for one. That’s a change from previous years, and more evidence that convergence really is happening. We also heard a lot of buzz surrounding set-top boxes and home gateways. That made it a good time for us to be showing our auto-configuration server (ACS). We also launched our TR-069 Interop Program. You can register there at our site. We’ll give you all the parameters to point your device to our ACS and see how it interoperates with our software. And it’s all free! If you have a TR-069 device, come to our site and see how it works.
