Incognito Software Announces Provisioning Support of Epon Solutions from Teknovus

VANCOUVER, BC (August 10, 2009) – Incognito Software, a global provider of device provisioning software, announced today that its provisioning solutions are now interoperable with EPON (Ethernet Passive Optical Network) solutions developed by Teknovus, the leading provider of EPON chips for the development of triple-play services in FTTx broadband access networks. Broadband Command Center, Incognito’s industry leading device provisioning suite, has now been proven to work within an EPON framework, opening up new possibilities for cable operators looking to deploy their devices over FTTx access networks.

“Teknovus is leading the deployment of FTTx networks with its proven EPON ASICs and DML software, enabling cable operators to move to fiber access networks while maintaining their DOCSIS® network environment,” stated Howard Abramson, Director of System Software Division. “Both Teknovus and Incognito are industry-standard solutions providers in their respective fields. With proven interoperability, they enable cable operators to leverage their existing work-flow, employee-knowledge and systems to manage next generation access networks.”

“Incognito’s Broadband Command Center’s ability to provision devices over FTTx access networks empowers cable operators to further improve services and increase revenues,” said Chris Busch, Vice President of Broadband Technologies for Incognito Software. “FTTx technology addresses dedicated subscriber bandwidth demands, converged IP services deployments, and subscriber density challenges in the access network. Ensuring existing BCC device provisioning meets these requirements is important for our customers.”

“This development reaffirms Incognito’s position as the leader in device provisioning,” said Stephane Bourque, CEO and President of Incognito Software. “We are continually expanding and improving our solutions to help cable operators worldwide meet changing market requirements.”

Teknovus will be showcasing its EPON solutions and its interoperability with Incognito’s Broadband Command Center at the upcoming CableLabs Summer 2009 Conference in Keystone, Colorado.
