Incognito Software CEO Stephane Bourque Named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® 2014 Award Finalist in British Columbia

Vancouver, B.C. September 17, 2014 Incognito Software, a global provider of broadband device provisioning, IP address management, bandwidth monitoring, and service activation solutions, today announced that CEO Stephane Bourque has been named a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2014 Award for British Columbia. A seasoned entrepreneur with extensive experience in the cable and telecommunications space, Bourque founded Incognito Software in 1992 to help broadband operators around the world monetize IP-based subscriber and commercial services.

As the world’s most prestigious business award for entrepreneurs, Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur Of The Year program celebrates the contribution and spirit of entrepreneurs everywhere. The Canadian program is in its 21st year of honoring the country’s most impressive entrepreneurs from all areas of business. Award finalists are chosen based on their vision, leadership, financial success and social responsibility.

“The future of entrepreneurship in Canada – and here in British Columbia – is brighter than ever,” said Lui Petrollini, EY’s Pacific Entrepreneur Of The Year program director. “Our Entrepreneur Of The Year finalists defy the odds, and the impossible, to reach new heights – and sharing their success stories is just one way we can work together to motivate the next generation and strengthen Canada’s entrepreneurial community.”

Despite three economic recessions, Incognito Software has remained profitable, continuing to hire, encourage research and development, win new deals, and most importantly, keep existing customers happy. The organization actively supports an assortment of charities, including World Vision, BC Children’s Hospital, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Hope in the Shadows Downtown Eastside community project, and numerous other local not-for-profit organizations. All funds raised are generously matched – and even double matched, at times – by Incognito Software.

“It is a tremendous honor to be named a finalist for this year’s Entrepreneur Of The Year award, and this acknowledgment speaks volumes to the hard work and innovation of our entire team, without which none of this would be possible,” commented Stephane Bourque. “Our company has expanded considerably since our inception more than two decades ago, but we’ve always stayed true to our British Columbia roots, and credit the customer and partner relationships we’ve forged here for much of our success thus far.”

The Entrepreneur Of The Year Pacific winners will be formally announced on September 30, 2014. For more details on other finalists, please visit http://www.ey.com/CA/en/Newsroom/News-releases/2014-Pacific-EOY-finalists.
