Incognito Software is Deployed by Insight Communications for VoIP and High-Speed Data

Vancouver, BC (April 17, 2007) – Incognito Software today announced that Insight Communications, the ninth largest cable provider in the US, has deployed its device provisioning solution to enable service for Insight’s rapidly growing population of high-speed data and VoIP customers.

Insight selected Incognito’s Broadband Command Center provisioning solution to gain the reliability and enhanced functionality required for carrier-grade VoIP services. The system automates provisioning of DOCSIS cable modems and PacketCable and SIP multimedia termination adapters (MTAs). Additionally, Incognito’s IP address management (IPAM) solution, Address Commander, was selected to allocate address space to commercial services customers and produce IP address utilization reports required for ARIN (American Registry for Internet Numbers).

“Our highest priority is always customer satisfaction, which means offering our customers the most choice and convenience possible,” said Bam Liem, Insight’s vice president, advanced services engineering. “We needed fast, reliable software that could rapidly respond to customer requests, and we selected Incognito because of its performance and dependability. The automation of provisioning functions also frees up more time for our local customer support teams to answer other types of calls.”

Patricia Steadman, CEO of Incognito, added, “This project represents significant recognition of Incognito’s provisioning and IPAM systems, which are designed to meet the reliability and scalability demands of complex, carrier-grade networks. Additionally, as great as the software is, you can never predict all the issues that may occur during integration, and that is why you need a company standing behind its products. Incognito Software partners with its customers to achieve tangible results from each deployment. Working within Insight’s quick migration schedule, we dedicated senior staff to resolving all system challenges and ensure a successful implementation.”
