NetCologne DSL, FTTX, and Cable Subscribers Provisioned with Broadband Command Center

Network-agnostic device provisioning solution deployed by major regional German broadband operator

VANCOUVER, BC (February 24, 2011) – Incognito Software, a global provider of broadband software provisioning and activation solutions since 1992, announced today that NetCologne GmbH, a regional operator in Germany serving more than 500,000 customers with phone, mobile phone and high speed internet services, has deployed Broadband Command Center, a network-agnostic device provisioning solution, to serve its wireline subscribers.

In 2006, NetCologne deployed Broadband Command Center in its cable plant to better serve its HSD and VoIP subscribers over its HFC network. The solution was selected based on the product’s carrier-grade performance and availability, ease of integration with back office systems, and ability to support DOCSIS® and PacketCableprovisioning standards. The deployment was a great success and in 2010, NetCologne expanded the Broadband Command Center deployment to serve its wireline subscribers as well.

“Over the past few years, Broadband Command Center has proved itself as a market-leading provisioning solution. The product’s network-agnostic nature allows us to consolidate our provisioning solution platform across the different access layers that serve our triple-play customers,” said Thomas Henritzi, Head of Network Engineering & Design of NetCologne. “Having a single provisioning solution streamlines our operations and saves us time and money.”

“We are delighted to extend our partnership and solution across the NetCologne service networks,” added Stephane Bourque, President and CEO of Incognito Software, “Incognito solutions continue to offer key next-generation network features at the core of the broadband network and this is yet another testament to our provisioning capabilities.”

Broadband Command Center is built on a distributed architecture with support for emerging technologies and standards. Its network and vendor-agnostic capabilities facilitate the deployment of data, voice, and video services in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
