VANCOUVER, BC (February 22, 2011) – Incognito Software, a leading provider of device provisioning, service activation, and IP Address Management software, is pleased to announce its participation in the SCTE Canadian Summit to be held from March 8 to 9 in Toronto, Canada. In the session titled “The Business of Provisioning” (Wednesday, March 9 at 11 AM), CTO Chris Busch will be discussing the opportunities offered by specialized Ethernet-based services and how cable operators can take advantage of the expansion to FTTH, WiMAX, and DSL.
Busch has over 12 years experience in broadband markets including cable, wireline, wireless, and satellite. He will examine the end-to-end architecture of last-mile Ethernet services delivered by the cable operator and provide details on network implementation requirements. He will also discuss the importance of standards from the Metro Ethernet Forum and the Broadband Forum.
Incognito leads the industry with advanced device provisioning solutions. Attendees can view a demonstration of the simultaneous provisioning of DOCSIS© and Broadband Forum converged devices using the integrated Broadband Command Center and Auto Configuration Server solution at booth 525.
Busch says, “Cable operators are looking to expand beyond their current capabilities to capture new commercial customers or offer advanced IP services. Many are starting to recognize that they must embrace other access network types in order to achieve this. The question then becomes How does one handle the departure from traditional cable access networks and efficiently manage other network types?”
