Press Release: Incognito Software Announces Provisioning Support for DOCSIS® 3.0 Networks
Vancouver, BC (August 4, 2009) - Incognito Software, an industry leader in empowering broadband providers to increase revenue through rapid and easy deployment and provisioning solutions, today announced that its Broadband Command Center 5.5 will now support DOCSIS 3.0 networks. Broadband Command Center 5.5, a globally deployed device provisioning suite, dynamically generates configuration files for DOCSIS 3.0 Modems and has full support for all new DOCSIS 3.0 parameters. Through the use of Broadband Command Center in support of DOCSIS 3.0, cable operators can now deliver increased bandwidth in both downstream and upstream service speeds as well as increased service quality.
"At Incognito, we strive to lead the industry in our adoption of the latest standards and technologies. Our support for DOCSIS 3.0 networks presents broadband service providers with an opportunity to exploit new capabilities and increase their service diversity and revenue," said Incognito President and CEO Stephane Bourque.
Additional functionalities of Broadband Command Center 5.5 includes the management of SIP endpoints including IP Phones, Multimedia Terminal Adapters (MTAs), Analog Telephone Adapters (ATAs), set top boxes and residential gateways. Configuration files using new provisioning proxies including HTTP, HTTPs, FTP, FTPs and TFTP can be dynamically built using Broadband Command Center's Configuration File Management service, allowing for greater network malleability and security.
The DOCSIS 3.0 interface specification created by CableLabs in 2006 and now an international standard, significantly increases transmissions speeds both upstream and downstream and introduced support for Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6).
