Press Release: Incognito Software Announces Agreement to Acquire FastFlow® Broadband Provisioning Manager
Acquisition Reaffirms Incognito’s Position in the Device Provisioning Market
VANCOUVER, BC (October 24, 2008) – Incognito Software Inc. today announced that it has signed a definite agreement to acquire FastFlow® Broadband Provisioning Manager (BPM), a device provisioning solution from BigBand Networks, Inc. Under the terms of the agreement, Incognito Software will acquire the key assets and rights of FastFlow® BPM.
Earlier this year BigBand decided to divest of its provisioning asset, consistent with the company’s strategy to focus resources on being the leading video networking supplier and advancing its position in the digital video networking category. It became evident that Incognito was the right company to provide existing FastFlow customers with the best device provisioning support. Today’s announcement reaffirms Incognito’s position as the leading provider of device provisioning solutions.
“This acquisition is another significant contribution to Incognito’s continuing commitment to provide device provisioning solutions for cable MSOs and provide a forward looking roadmap to those wishing to deploy new services and technologies. Incognito has been at the forefront of PacketCable, DOCSIS 3.0 and IPv6 development and wishes to bring this knowledge to a larger group of customers,” remarked Patricia Steadman, CEO and cofounder of Incognito Software. “The result is a 30% increase in our customer base (approximately 150 global service providers) to which we can provide the benefits of our enhanced knowledge, research and development in our core specialty of broadband device provisioning.”
Incognito’s goal is to provide quality support and maintenance to existing FastFlow® BPM customers to ensure network stability while continuing to invest in its flagship product for device provisioning, the widely deployed Broadband Command Center™ (BCC). For those wishing to migrate to BCC, Incognito will be providing a set of migration tools to ease the transition.
