How Address Commander Works
Address Commander streamlines and centralizes the allocation, assignment, tracking and reporting of IP address blocks related to customers or business units across multiple regions. The process is as follows:
- Consolidate all of the existing IP inventory data that consist of your address blocks, IP assignments, subnet groups, seed blocks, static addresses, device or router information.
- Use the Address Commander Import tool to cleanse the data and iteratively refine the information until the address space is accurately represented in the system.
- Address Commander updates the Database with newly imported information. The centralizing of database information enables:
- multiple users to simultaneously access and update information
- indexed searching based on IP address, purpose, customer, and user defined fields
- different reports to be generated
- automated requests for additional allocations
- With the Database as the central storage facility shared by all of the Incognito services, you can perform IPAM operations with Address Commander's main components.
- Further enhance the service through integration with third-party OSS and optional services, including the Broadband Command Center™ provisioning system. With integration with Broadband Command Center, DHCP data can be imported into Address Commander allowing a consolidated view of multiple DHCP regional deployments.
- When integrated with Incognito’s Name Commander™ domain management service, you can import hostnames and DNS data into the Address Commander system.

Optional Services:
- ISM Proxy Service which is installed with every integrated deployment of Broadband Command Center™ provisioning system, to allow access to a consolidated view of multiple DHCP/DNS regional deployments, provision DHCP static addresses, as well as collect static and active lease usage information
