Incognito’s Ronan Bracken Helps Win the Prize at TM Forum’s {Open}:Hack Hackathon

Congratulations Ronan!

Incognito OSS Product Manager, Ronan Bracken, dusted off his coding skills and participated in the TMForum {Open}:Hack hackathon using the TMForum Open APIs. Joining a team of four other ‘hackers’ Ronan helped create a zero-touch provisioning solution to save city water. The solution used trouble tickets, service activation (5G slices), the Internet of Things (IoT), revenue management, and drone control APIs.

The “Water Saver” team was the only team made up of members that had never met before, but that didn’t stop the team from winning three prizes! Two prizes for the best use of the available APIs, and also second place in the highly-competitive Best Overall Solution category.

Ronan commented shortly after his team’s success: “We used strategies and technologies such as zero-touch provisioning, IoT, artificial intelligence, Big Data, service orchestration, workflow management, and drone technology. To have a functioning solution which contributed to a fully integrated digital ecosystem in two days time was a really wonderful and fun achievement. ”
